Sarah Tessier Adventurous, studious, enthusiastic, bilingual, animal lover, helpful, smiles a lot, fun, scientific, amiable - these are words that describe me. My name is Sarah Tessier.
KENYA ADVENTURER Hi! I am a grade 10 student at École Secondaire Saint-François Xavier. Yes, that’s right I can speak English, French and I’m learning Spanish! Most individuals find it really cool when they learn that I am bilingual and often start saying random French phrases they know, such as Bonjour, je m’appelle... or Tu parles Français? It is always great to see such enthusiastic responses. In my spare time, I enjoy racquet sports such as badminton, tennis and squash. I also enjoy reading, learning, getting involved in extracurricular activities and horseback riding. The whole experience of Project Kenya is super thrilling; however I am really looking forward to getting involved in both our local community and Kenyan community, as well as climbing Mount Kenya. I think it is a great learning opportunity, a chance to help others, build my leadership skills and experience another culture. My goals are to share this adventure with others my age and to continue with volunteer opportunities.
