To ensure there are no barriers to participation, there is no cost to the youth involved in Project Kenya. Throughout the year, the team works together on a number of fundraising initiatives to raise the $170,000 required to fund the project and subsequent trip to Kenya. The success of Project Kenya relies on the group working together to fundraise as a team, not as individuals.

While each participant is asking their friends, families and community for donations, the group is also embarking on team fundraising initiatives. This includes involvement in community events, making presentations to service clubs, community groups and local businesses, hosting special events, as well as applying for grants.

It has been a very busy year for the team but it has brought us to the point in our fundraising endeavors that we can now say "We are going to Kenya!"
