KENYA ADVENTURER
He shoots, he scores!! You may hear this at a hockey game but it's true in life as well. Playing hockey has made me strong and confident. It's about making a team commitment and following through. You need to practice and work hard, focus and follow the rules, take chances and make quick choices. Whether it works or not, you always learn something from it. But the best part is meeting new people. I look at life and realize that I use a lot of these same skills. My goal in life is to learn and grow every day. I feel like going to Africa will make me a better person. I am excited to learn about another culture and see the land. I am ready to be challenged to climb a mountain and push it to the limit. I am honored to be chosen and feel like I will make lifelong friends. I can't wait to stand on the top of the mountain and yell "he shoots, he scores".
