Moving Mountains Trust is a UK-based international development NGO dedicated to long-term sustainable development. It has been working in Kenya since 2002 with the Moving Mountains Trustees involved in development work in Kenya since the early 1990's.
Moving Mountains Kenya was established as an independently registered NGO in 2005 and has continued to develop and go from strength to strength as an organisation, now enjoying a huge countrywide remit for a range of educational and social programmes as well as responsibility for coordinating many construction and renovation projects with partner schools, medical centres and communities each year.
Moving Mountains Kenya is run by a dedicated team of Kenyan staff and volunteers with many years experience in the field and is led by an executive committee which manages strategy and oversees the development of the organisation and our programmes and projects in Kenya. Moving Mountains Kenya is committed to promoting the welfare and rights of young Kenyans from disadvantaged backgrounds through education and social support. The strategic approach from day one has been to build and consolidate a strong network of support involving the family, school and community to ensures that each beneficiary is able to pursue their education and go on to gain employment and achieve their potential. To this end Moving Mountains Kenya runs and supports a range of ongoing programmes and institutions which provide vital support and opportunities for disadvantaged young Kenyans. Moving Mountains Kenya also undertakes many construction projects each year to improve vital educational, health and community infrastructure for thousands of families and communities.
